Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Bergen and Transfer to Odda

Your spectacular Norwegian adventure kicks off with your arrival in Bergen, a historic coastal city and the official gateway to Fjord Norway. From Bergen, you will embark on a highly scenic and enjoyable journey that takes you through breathtaking landscapes on your way to the charming area near Odda. This town, strategically positioned amidst dramatic scenery, will serve as your essential base for the first two nights. Get settled into your cozy accommodation and take some time to prepare and fuel up, as Odda is the perfect jumping-off point for the demanding, yet incredibly rewarding, adventure that awaits you tomorrow morning: the Trolltunga trek.

Day 2 – Conquering Trolltunga

Fueled by a good breakfast, you will embark on the iconic and substantial Trolltunga hike. This renowned trek takes you high into the mountains, culminating at the spectacular "Troll's Tongue" rock formation, which offers unparalleled, panoramic views 700 metres above the lake. Standing triumphantly on the edge will be a moment to truly savour and photograph. After the long, exhilarating day of hiking, you will descend and happily return to your same cosy accommodations for a well-deserved, peaceful night's rest and recovery.

Length: 20 KM | Elevation gain: 900m | Time: 8h

Day 3 – Husedalen Valley and Stavali Adventure

Day 3 begins your two-day wilderness immersion. The journey starts in the beautiful Husedalen Valley, renowned for its series of four cascading waterfalls that dramatically cascade down the mountainside. Your hike will take you through increasingly remote and picturesque landscapes, traversing untouched, high-mountain terrain. This significant ascent leads you to your destination for the night: the remote and rustic Stavali Mountain Lodge. You will spend the evening completely immersed in the profound tranquillity of nature, far removed from civilisation.

Length: 16 KM | Elevation gain: 1300m | Time: 7h

Day 4 – Stavali to Munketreppene Descent

On Day 4, you will begin your journey back, leaving the isolated Stavali Lodge behind. The hike continues through the serene surroundings of the high-mountain plateau, featuring rocky paths and sweeping views of the surrounding wilderness. As you descend, the route gradually moves towards the final stretch of your loop hike, which includes navigating the renowned and scenic section known as the Munketreppene (Monk's Steps). Completing this final descent brings you to the end of your two-day high-mountain circuit, where you can then return to Odda or your next transfer point.

Length: 22 KM | Elevation gain: 1000m | Time: 8h

Day 5: Exploring Waterfall Wonders and returning to Bergen

Your final day is dedicated to a stunning scenic drive back to Bergen, packed with natural and man-made wonders. You'll visit the majestic Vøringsfossen, a colossal waterfall plunging into a deep canyon. Next, you will cross the impressive Hardanger Bridge, a lengthy architectural marvel spanning the fjord. Conclude your sightseeing with a stop at the beautiful Skjervsfossen Waterfall. As the day concludes, if time allows, we will return to Bergen for some sightseeing and later for your flight back home, carrying memories of accomplishment and the raw beauty of Norway's fjords and mountains.
